TEACHERS AS LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Our National hero Dr. Jose Rizal strongly
believes that the youth today will become our hope for tomorrow. If you look
outside and observe this young generation you will become discourage because
most of them involves in criminal cases, stealing, gambling, drugs and rape
cases. The question that bothers into my mind how this generation will become a
greater hope for the future? It actually challenges me how can I help this
youth to achieve their potential and not become a headache to their parents and
our society.
This is also one of my motivation why I enter in this teaching
profession I want to influence this young generation to have a better life.
Teacher faces a very challenging task.
Our students today will be a reflection of our future. I read an article
that says that in America in every ten students there are three students who
cheat in the class, that’s it made me sad because in our country, every ten
students; there are eleven students cheat in the class. The mindset of these
youth is very corrupt. That’s why we as teachers we need to be very serious in
this vocation. If we want to change the perspective of this youth we need
increase our influence, capability and patience to them.
The leaders of tomorrow will be scarce without
the teachers of today! If teacher become lazy and complacent we cannot make a
difference to these students. There is no one to instruct our children
purposefully. We need to expose them to subjects and real life situation that
will enlighten them, and prepare their minds, and brains for the challenges in
this world, we will lack quality leaders in future, if we become complacent.
Always remember that as teachers are
"Intellectual Banks." It is a critical situation if this bank is
empty! That’s why we need to sharpen our minds, skills so that we have the
resources to fill the minds of this student. Like Howard Henrick said in his
book Changing to change life “If you
stop learning today, you stop teaching tomorrow.
Teachers we need to be light of the world.
“BE THE
